The Creative Process
Every Khoob scarf begins as an original hand-painted artwork. There are no shortcuts, no stock illustrations, no digital-first designs. The process is slow, deliberate, and rooted in the same traditions that inspired Mughal ateliers centuries ago.
Inspiration
Each design starts with research: historical Mughal botanical paintings, Persian miniatures, Indo-Persian garden symbolism, and the natural world. We study the motifs, understand their meanings, and find the story each scarf will carry.
The Sketch
The composition is sketched by hand — placing every branch, blossom, bird, and border in balance. This stage defines the scarf's visual rhythm: where the eye rests, where it moves, how the design flows when draped or folded.
Hand-Painted Watercolour
The sketch becomes a full watercolour painting. Every petal, leaf, and feather is painted individually. This is the heart of the process — and the reason each Khoob design carries the organic warmth and subtle imperfections that make hand-painted art feel alive.
Refinement & Pattern
The finished painting is carefully digitised and refined. Borders are composed, repeats are balanced, and the design is prepared for silk printing — always preserving the hand-painted character of the original artwork.
Premium Silk Printing & Finishing
The final design is printed on premium silk using high-resolution techniques that capture every brushstroke. Each scarf is then finished with a four-side hem — ready to be worn as a scarf, hijab, or dupatta.
The result is a piece of wearable art that honours centuries of heritage while being made for the way we live now.
